The Society Board of Directors is still in need of help. The main need at this date is for a new Treasurer, but small business and computer skills of all kinds are welcome. Nominations will be accepted at the September meeting.
The Austin Traditional Jazz Society had a partially successful season in the spring of 2022. The renewal of memberships and concert attendance showed that there is still interest in our wonderful music, but fell far short of pre-pandemic levels. It is the Society’s hope that this season will see further renewal in the Society’s fortunes. Austin is the only major metropolitan area in Texas to have a functioning traditional jazz society. Let’s have a great season and keep traditional jazz alive in Central Texas.
Join us for the Dirty River Jazz Band on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022,
Hur Shrine Temple, 7811 Rockwood Lane Austin. Doors open at 1:30
