Message from the
A.T.J.S. President

Dear Jazz Fans:

Your Austin Traditional Jazz Society has had to cancel the May concert.  Confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide are going up by about 1,000 cases a day, and testing rates remain very low, perhaps 5-10% of what is needed.  If that were not enough, Cap City Comedy Club remains closed.  A decision has not yet been made on the June concert.  We will keep you posted.

In the absence of live jazz, there is a lot of jazz available on the Internet.  Groups are posting performances on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.  Many vintage recordings are available on YouTube and the Red Hot Jazz Archive.  Jazz streaming sites such as Radio Dismuke are on the Internet.  You can find many listening suggestions on the ATJS website.

Our full-time jazz musicians can neither perform nor teach during this pandemic shutdown.  Please make a donation to Austin Jazz Society‚Äôs Project Safety Net You may donate to the Austin Jazz Society at the link below.
