Join us on Sunday, October 14 from 2 to 5 pm at Cap City Comedy Club where ATJS will feature the ever-popular Mission City Hot Rhythm Cats. This traditional jazz band specializes in early, classic jazz, exemplified by many of the well-known masters such as Louis Armstrong, Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton, Jack Teagarden, Bix Beiderbecke and Joe "King" Oliver.

The band will include:
Mark Hess - piano;
Pierre Poree - sax, clarinet, vocals
Dave Deering - upright bass & tuba
David Jellema - cornet & clarinet
Mike Pittsley - trombone
Ed Torres - drums

Mission City Hot Rhythm Cats

When: Sunday, October 14 from 2:00 to 5 p.m.  Doors open at 1:00 p.m.

Where: Cap City Comedy Club, 8120 Research Boulevard (intersection with Anderson Square) in North Austin.

Admission: ATJS Members free with current membership card. Guests and the public are invited to attend, $10.00 cover. Students with ID, Austin Jazz Society Members and Austin Swing Syndicate Members, $5.00.

Features: Good food (kitchen open 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.), full bar to 5:00 p.m., (suggested minimum: 2 items, food and/or drink). Two dance floors, large free parking lot with unlimited overflow a block east. Hall holds up to 300 people — lots of room for all!
